Early spring trip down the Buffalo.
Ponca, Arkansas to Buffalo Springs
94 miles, class II suitable for canoes & sea kayaks
The weather for late March is generally highs in the low 70's, lows in the mid 40's. Much nicer and warmer than here in Colorado.
This is mainly a hiking trip with trailheads connected by the river. Although we'll only average around 15 miles per day, we do have a 15/ 17 length rule in effect due to the speed we'll be paddling and the distance/ amount of gear that's required.
